Speaker biography:

Dr. Bilquis Ferdousi is a Cybersecurity and Information Technology professor at the School of Information Security and Applied Computing at Eastern Michigan University. She holds PhD and Master's in Information Systems. She also has a Master's in Sociology. During her twenty-five years in the academic profession, Dr. Ferdousi developed many graduate and undergraduate curricula and was the Information Technology program coordinator. Dr. Ferdousi is an adviser to her PhD students and supervises and chairs doctoral dissertation committees. She also supervises the Master's Thesis in the Cybersecurity program. In addition, she serves as ABET coordinator for the accreditation of the Information Technology program at her department. Dr. Ferdousi's current research interest mainly includes Artificial Intelligence in cybersecurity, Human-computer interaction, Internet of Things (IoT) and Cloud Computing in data security and privacy, Gender gaps in computer programs, Factors in technology adoption, and Digital technology for interactive academic learning.
