The Fifth International Conference on Information Systems and Software Technologies (ICI2ST 2024) online event is organized by the National Polytechnic School, also known as EPN, is a public university, undergraduate and graduate, located in Quito (Ecuador). Renowned for research and education in basic sciences, engineering, and technology, it offers doctoral, master's, and undergraduate programs.

It was founded, in the first instance, by President Gabriel García Moreno in 1869 and, after its closure in 1876, it was reopened almost thirty years later, in the 1930s. Since then it has become one of the study centers most prestigious superiors in the country. In fact, the EPN was accredited in category A, in 2009, by the former National Council of Evaluation and Accreditation of Higher Education of Ecuador (CONEA) and in 2013 by the Council of Evaluation, Accreditation and Quality Assurance of the Higher Education System (CEAACES). Since 2012 it belongs to the Ecuadorian Network of Universities for Research and Postgraduate Studies.

The “José Rubén Orellana Ricaurte” Polytechnic Campus is located in the central-eastern sector of Quito, in the La Floresta parish. The EPN occupies an area of ​​approximately 152 thousand square meters and its main entrance is adjacent to the Rumiñahui Coliseum on Ladrón de Guevara Street E11 - 253. The construction area is 67,489 square meters, which correspond to laboratories, research centers, classrooms, libraries, administrative offices, workshops, theater, sports fields, etc.
