Artificial Intelligence: An Opportunity to Develop Science, Technology and the Economy of Ecuador
Abstract:
Artificial intelligence is the catalyst for the fourth industrial revolution. In this sense, this discipline is a great opportunity to develop science and technology for the benefit of Ecuador. Additionally, artificial intelligence could become an important axis to develop our country's economy since it will allow products and services with high added value to be sold abroad. This talk will be divided into two parts. In the first part, we will discuss the results achieved in more than 7 years of work developed in the "Alan Turing" Intelligence and Artificial Vision Research Laboratory of the National Polytechnic School. In the second part, we will discuss how artificial intelligence can become a great pillar in developing the economy of Ecuador.
